BROWN AARON and Erdos Group sign cashmere development partnership
The Beacon Collection cashmere qualities are now developed in cooperation with Erdos Group and KVSS at the Hantai cashmere park in Inner Mongolia.
BROWN AARON has entered a cashmere development partnership with Erdos Group and KVSS. Under the agreement, the two cashmere overcoating qualities in the Beacon Collection — Khan and Baatar — are developed jointly at the Hantai cashmere park in Inner Mongolia.
Hantai is a CNY 3.5 billion integrated facility and the largest single-site cashmere production base in the world. It brings dehairing, high-count spinning, dyeing and finishing, and worsted and woollen weaving into one controlled supply chain, handling 2,000 tonnes of dehaired cashmere and one million metres of finished cloth a year.
For our customers the practical effect is consistency. Cashmere quality varies enormously by origin, season and sorting standard; bringing the raw fibre and the finishing under one operation is the most reliable way to keep a colourway stable from one delivery to the next.
"Cashmere is a fibre where the raw material decides everything," said the BROWN AARON product team. "Working directly with Erdos and KVSS lets us specify the fibre rather than accept what is offered."
